Use and Care – Safety and Compliance
Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance
At Gibson Homewares, the safety of our products and regulatory compliance are our top priorities. We ensure that all our products meet the safety standards set by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including the guidelines outlined in Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations, which govern the safe use of materials that come into direct contact with food.
Regulatory Disclosures
In compliance with California Assembly Bill 1200, manufacturers must disclose certain chemicals in cookware sold in California. As of January 1, 2024, cookware containing one or more intentionally added chemicals from a designated list must be clearly identified on the product label. Additionally, as of January 1, 2023, cookware manufacturers are required to list these chemicals on their websites.
